Nature of service
Piel de Vino is an artisan atelier that manufactures leather goods to order, individually and by hand. Pieces are not mass produced and no inventory is kept. Each commission is agreed directly with the client before production begins.
Made-to-order pieces
All pieces are made to a specific order. The client selects the model, leather, color, and finish during the confirmation process. Once the details are agreed and the commission is confirmed, the piece enters production and specifications cannot be changed without an additional charge.
Process and timelines
Once the details of the commission are agreed, we will send a written confirmation to the client's email address including: model, materials, price, payment method, and estimated delivery time. The commission is formally confirmed when the client acknowledges receipt or makes the deposit payment where applicable. Production time is 2 to 3 weeks from that confirmation. This may vary depending on the complexity of the piece or material availability. We will communicate any change of date as early as possible. Pieces are delivered in person or shipped by courier with a tracking number, which will be shared with the client as soon as the piece is dispatched. The risk of loss or damage during transit is the responsibility of the courier service.
Payments
Payment terms are agreed directly with each client at the time of confirmation. For special commissions, we may require a deposit to begin production. Available payment methods are communicated during the coordination process.
Returns and cancellations
Due to the bespoke nature of each piece, we do not accept returns or exchanges once production has begun. If a piece presents a manufacturing defect, notify us within 30 calendar days of delivery and we will correct it at no additional charge or, if repair is not possible, agree on a satisfactory solution. This warranty does not cover natural leather aging, damage from improper use, or alterations made by third parties. The above does not limit your rights as a consumer under the Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor or your right to contact PROFECO. Cancellations requested in writing within 24 hours of commission confirmation will be accepted at no charge; if a deposit was made, it will be fully refunded within 10 business days. Cancellations requested after that period but before production begins may be subject to a charge for materials already acquired, which will be communicated to the client before proceeding.
Intellectual property
All designs, photographs, texts, and content published on this site are the property of Piel de Vino. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without written authorization is prohibited.
Limitation of liability
Piel de Vino is not responsible for improper use of products or for damage resulting from the natural aging of the material. The lifespan and patina of leather depend on the care and use the client gives to the piece.

For any dispute that cannot be resolved directly, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Mexico City, or to PROFECO's conciliation mechanisms, at the consumer's choice.
